NEW DELHI - The AIMF president SM Asif has criticized Bihar Government over non-payment of salaries and pension to serving and retired employees of different universities and colleges, respectively, for the last five months.
In a statement Mr Asif has sought the government’s reply on the issue of non-payment of salaries to varsities teachers and non-teaching employees.
In the statement the AIMF chief said the majority of the university employees, either working or retired, have been facing a harrowing time due to non-payment of salaries.
Mr Asif said, for the Nalanda Open University, the government has allotted 10 acres of land instead of 40 acres which is not sufficient for the enrollment of around 1.50-lakh students in 119 courses.
He warned the Nitish Kumar Government not to play politics with youth future and release sufficient funds to all eight universities in the state.
